Not the porn, playboy bunny platinum blonde. The cool, I-woke-up-like-this, effortless and stylish platinum blonde. Smoking hot with smokey eyes and super sweet with as little make up as possible.
I am in love.
Hopefully one morning I wake up brave enough to do this.
Never in a million years I thought it would be so hard to find a good looking diaper bag. Did I say hard? Let me rephrase that, it is in fact impossible to find a good looking diaper bag. Seriously, they don’t excist! If you are on the search for one, just like me, I feel for you. All there is to find are backpacks, ugly printed/weird fabric messenger bags, unisex bags (when is a bag ever suitable for men ánd women?).
Sorry for my rant, but after several weeks of searching there is nothing more to it. The only ones I did liked a tiny bit were over 350 dollars. And who’s going to spend money like that on a diaper bag when you can buy an entire –ok half– wardrobe for your baby for that amount? Not me.
So after I was done looking at green/purple/yellow printed bags I decided the diaper bag just wasn’t for me. I started looking at normal bags that would easily function as a diaper bag. I mean, all you need is a decent sized, gorgeous bag with multiple pockets inside. An easy to clean lining is also a plus, otherwise you will be crying when a bottle of milk/juice/whatever explodes in your bag.
Not all of the above are totally approved as diaper bags, but that doesn’t matter. I like them, and I wouldn’t mind walking around with one of them. My eye goes out to the dust pink one from JCrew.
What do you think? Have you ever bought a diaper bag or are you just as lost as I am?
First of all; sorry for my uber-absence the past couple months! Things have been quite busy and as you can see I have some AWESOME news to share! You saw that right: I’m pregnant!! 4,5 months in these pictures to be exact! I’ve been so excited to share this news!
At the moment I’m 5,5 months, so my bump is
a bit more showing than in the pictures shown above. I’m finally passed the is-she-pregnant-or-just-fat-stage and I love it. Getting dresses with a bump takes so much longer than without one and now it’s finally ‘out-there’ it’s getting easier by the day actually.
It took me quite some time to get used to having a bump, instead of having a toned stomach due to some serious Bootcamp action. In my mind people were staring at my ‘fat belly’ and all I wanted to say is; ‘I don’t usually look like this!’. I know this may sound ridiculous, but it’s the truth. Now that I have finally passed that stage, I’m much more comfortable with my bump and dressing around it.
I haven’t started wearing any maternity clothing though, except for the trousers in these pictures. They are a-ma-zing! I wish all skinny jeans were made this way.
I can’t wait to start posting some outfit photos again now that the word is out, so keep a close eye on the blog!

Usually when getting ready in the morning, we are in a tight schedule. Even 5 minutes of delay –what to wear! / where are my shoes! / mascara in the eye! – can cause some serious stress. That’s why we tend to do everything in the same order every morning, to make sure we’re getting ready in time. I would love to say it works this way, but with me being super chaotic, getting ready on time isn’t my strong suit.
Of course getting ready covers more than taking a shower. We’re talking about shower, make up, hair, outfit, breakfast, and sometimes lunch to go; in less than an hour. I came up with a pretty solid schedule that works really well for me. I have to admit that leaving the bed 5 minutes later screws up this whole schedule and makes me take one (ok.. sometimes two) busses later. Guilty.
My schedule involves a lot of running, doing multiple things at once – which often fail– and applying the final touches of make up on my way to work. I travel on public transport so it’s totally safe! ;). But here’s a tip; Do all the things you need to do at home, at home and all the others (like breakfast, final touches of make up) on your way, or at work. That saves you lots of time, which you can spend on perfecting your hair.
What is your key to getting ready on time in the morning?
